Our boys in grey and white are heading to the US to (hopefully) learn something from the boys in blue:

The Oldham County Sheriff’s Office will host 35 officers from the Middle East country of Lebanon Saturday for an event that will “raise awareness for law enforcement on a global scale,” Sheriff Steve Sparrow said.

The Lebanon department is taking classes on American police techniques this month at the Southern Police Institute in Louisville.

Plus the 35 officers will get a chance to carve the turkey:

The foreign officers also will join officers for a Thanksgiving luncheon at La Grange Baptist Church.

Lots of talk online about the head of Lebanon’s Internal Security Force issuing an order to his men (and women) to vote for Jeita as one of the 7 Wonders of the Natural World. As fellow blogger Rami mentions:

Next week’s “unusual” order will be calling them to either join the Internal Security Forces group on Facebook, or become fans of his Facebook page.

Mr. Rifi, teach your officers how to respect us and behave well in the streets before giving them orders to do online voting!

I agree! Especially since I have failed to read any explanation for this photo. It seems the ISF seem to be grasping security quite well.
