“He’d Rather be Playing in Beirut than Queens”
Hall of Fame baseball writer, Peter Gammons,was fortunate to be interviewed by WEEI, where he was asked this question:
Any chance Jason Bay ends up back with the Red Sox as opposed to in Queens?
His response:
I think he’d rather be playing in Beirut than Queens.
Are you serious? Baseball? The sport that no one plays? I’m scratching my head just to try to figure out what the hell the guy’s talking about. I’m going to take a swing at it and say that baseball in Queens sucks so badly that if he had a choice, this Jason Bay character would choose to play in Beirut? Where do these guys come up with this stuff?
