Here’s a first for me: Steven Uhles describes holiday shopping one day after Thanksgiving, or as he calls it, Black Friday:

Although insanely crowded, Target managed to keep things on an even keel. Shelves were stocked, aisles clear and traffic, though tight, continued to flow. Toys “R” Us was another story. It was a plaything apocalypse that looked and felt a little like bombed-out Beirut, had Beirut been bombed out by the LEGO patrol.

So basically the guy wakes up at 3am in the morning to hit the stores as they sell items at a 20% discount, hoping to get everything he needs in time for Christmas. That is just crazy, kind of like your statement on Beirut. Your LLB Certificate is on the way.

Steven Uhles holds toys as he waits about an hour in a checkout line at the Target in Evans.
