Louis Vuitton is planning to hit the region big with a Dubai and Beirut store in the coming months:

French fashion brand Louis Vuitton, which will open its flagship Middle East store in Dubai next month, is in the “final stages” of a planned expansion into Lebanon, a company official has said.

“The next market where there are opportunities is clearly Lebanon, which has been resilient to the crisis and has already shown to be a strong market for luxury,” Damien Vernet, general manager for the fashion house’s Middle East and India operations told reporters.

In a country where we can barely provide the bare necessities, we sure have a lot of luxury products. Somehow we can’t seem to get our priorities straight. As one reader commented,

  I hope you know that this is something that can easily happen in beirut and probably has. That said, i’m sure it can happen anywhere!
